10 Love Coupons Worth Creating for Every Couple.

Okay, I know what you are thinking. Love Coupons. Come on. How corny can you get ?! And I do not blame you at all since a few months back even I was on the same boat as you. However, these “coupons” do come in real handy when you are looking desperately for a moment just to press refresh and beat the stress, when you are nowhere close to a solution but life needs to go on, when you want some silliness in your life to share a chuckle with your significant other, when you both have reached wit’s end and almost on the verge of strangling each other! There, got your attention didn’t I 🙂

If you thought these kind of coupons are only for the mushy lovey-dovey honeymooning couples, its time to think again! You can, of course have the gooey clichéd-romantic ones also and here I am going to list out the coupons in no specific order which can be really a lifesaver for any kind of couple. Make them or buy them or email them (after all you can save some trees!), that is up to you but what really matters, is the content and I really urge you to try them out.

1.“Good for Ending an Argument, No Questions Asked, Thrown in With One Looong Hug!”

Because now and then you are quite nowhere near a resolution and life must go on. When you are really just too weary to continue the “discussion” but do not want to disappoint your partner, redeem this coupon and it works wonders! You find the anger and resentment and all the built-up negative emotions getting dissolved in the warm tight hug of your sweetheart ❤

Why argue when you can hug ❤

2.“Good for a No-Technology Show for a Whole Day”

Because its good to disconnect to connect with your love. Even if your Facebook buzzes with notifications galore or you are dying to check in at Foursquare! It is just ONE day and you are spending quality time together, and getting a chance to really listen to them and have a heart-to-heart. That’s never a bad thing! Your mobiles/ipads/laptops can surely rest for a day atleast 🙂

3.“Good for Some Cuddlebunny Spells”

Because cuddling sometimes says more than words can and sometimes that is all you really need to feel better. But did you know that it also boosts your immunity, reduces stress and lowers the risk of heart disease as well? What more reasons do you need for this one?  ❤

Ah, the bliss of cuddling 🙂 ❤

4.“Good for a Break from Cooking AND Cleaning for a Day”

Because, really? You are looking for a reason to use this one? Irrespective of the gender (who am I kidding, this one is indeed a showstopper for the women rather than men) this is one of the musts in your coupons. So do I use this? Yes of course!!! You can check my About Me to get a better idea of my cooking “skills” .*grinning sheepishly*

Can anyone else relate to this ? 😉

5.“Good for One Day Full Gaming/TV Remote Control”

Because, the men in our life need to be happy as well 😉 And of course, you get some additional brownie points for being the perfect wife 😀  This was quite a favorite in my home, though nowadays the poor hubby is toiling away with his graduate studies and has no time to indulge in either of this :\

Won’t you love to see your guy like this? 🙂

6.“Good for Some Serious Listening Time”

Because listening is indeed an art, and sometimes when you are shouting your lungs out, there could be chances that your significant other is not even paying attention to what language you are speaking! But don’t worry thou shalt use thy coupon now! Redeem the coupon, and slow down the argument and get yourself some undivided attention without any further ado 😎

7.“Good for Any Three Romantic Wishes”

Because you and your beloved need to seek a little lovin’ and indulgence from time to time. When you take each other for granted, when the schedules just would not allow it, when you find monotony wearing you down, redeem the coupon and surprise yourself and your love by jazzing up your already cherished relationship. ❤

8.“Good for Forgiving a Repeated Mistake”

Because it is very inevitable that you both will push each other to the maximum limits quite often. And to avoid another endless argument this coupon comes in very handy. But the frequency of the redemption of this coupon can be quite tricky sometimes 😉

9.“Good for a Bubble Bath Together”

Because the couple who soaks together stays together 😀 On a more serious note, engulfed by warm cascading water and fascinating scents and the thing you crave for the most, some awesome quality “We-Time”, you can create a private escape right in your own home! It could be the perfect place to touch on how your day went, discuss the dreams you had the previous night or your weekend plans. And apart from enjoying the intimacy and the exotic fragrances, who knows one thing might lead to another 😉 But the bottom line is it’s a great time to bond and hang out, especially for those couples who have stringent schedules!

10.“Good for a Coupon Do-Over”

Because sometimes you cannot get enough of one coupon and would like to redeem it again 😀 However ,you can have restrictions on this one. For eg. to dismiss a mistake repeated quite often would be tough but one more no-technology show or no cooking coupon, Yes Pleaase!

So if you ask me how I got into this coupon thing, it all started with our card games!

thumb_cards_1024
Yeah we are GoT fans 😀

We play some card game almost every day and to make it more interesting my man suggested to find incentives for the winner. We started with small things like watching the winner’s favorite movie or going out to their choice of favorite restaurant or no mobiles while eating etc. But once we discovered how it was helping to add that extra spark to our relationship and was giving us many sweet and worthwhile memories, we decided to follow the incentives without the card games as well and thus the coupons were born 🙂

The point to remember about the coupon business is that, they should be tailored for whatever is pleasing to your sweetheart. If the wifey is a person who loves cooking and freaks about cleanliness (think Monica in FRIENDS :D), you can remove the Cook and Clean coupon and add a shopping session maybe. And when you know the hubby is eagerly following up on some sports scores in the internet, it does not make sense to use the No-Technology coupon on that day either. The whole idea is to bring in moments of love and pure giving in the relationship, combined with some practical yet effective and inspiring coupons to create some incredible memories. ❤

So tell me what do you all think? I would looove to know your thoughts on this one 🙂 What coupons would you add to this list? 🙂

  1. Wow girl, this is so amazing. Yesterday I was thinking about what makes a healthy relationship and keeps it going strong. I love this.

Being parents, we are always told we have to have a “date night”. I get it, but that doesn’t fit our life very well.

THIS, now this fits. This would work really well because it’s do-able and fits in between busy schedules and day to day stuff.

You’re so awesome! 😊 Thank you!

    1. Thanks a bunch Jessica for keeping me on cloud 9 still 😉 Loved to know that you could relate to this 🙂 I have tried my max to list out the coupons which could actually help out the day to day life of a normal couple with a tinge of romanticism 🙂 And since most of them are already tried by us I can vouch personally for them 🙂

      1. Oops. I am not sure 😶 I remember reading something giving the meaning like you would not be connected to WP as much as you would like and your posts will be scheduled.
I am sorry to have caused any inconvenience Marquessa. I just told what came to my mind first 😦

  3. These are fantastic ideas. I love a good ‘love’ coupon and these are some I’ve never thought of before.
When our son was growing up and money was super tight, we would make things like this for each other for holidays. I think it’s wicked romantic and thoughtful. 🙂

ps…I’m having a meet and greet right now and you were the belle of the ball last time so if you have time…please stop in. ❤

    1. Aww, how cute 🙂 Yes these coupons does brighten up one’s day no matter what hardships we deal with 🙂 I am glad you did not think of them as “corny” 😀
Nikki, I LOVED your party last time and belle of the ball ? Heehee. I might be actually blushing here 😀 I even told my hubby now I was called that 😛 I would be definitely back for my tequilas this time. 🙂 Sorry could reply only now. Got caught up with the weekend errands 🙂

    1. Thank you for dropping by dear guest 🙂 I will be visiting you soon! Intrigued by your name 🙂
And yes, the first one is a showstopper in its own way 🙂 And the great news is it goes a loooong way in maintaining a happy relationship 🙂

  4. Minaxi you are wise beyond your years!! This is a fabulous idea! Another game you could play is to write something that you love about the other. Like a deck of cards, write one thing on each card with a little explanation as to why, make as many as you can. You each make your own deck about the other. Then before you start the day, shuffle the deck and have the other draw a card…then you read to them the card they drew saying what it is you love about them. You post is so creative, I love all the pictures you have. xo

    1. Heehee 😀 Yes, I knoww! I also used to think the same but somehow a few of these like the no-tech show, no cooking, forgiving a repeated mistake and all have added so much more happiness and cherished memories to our life, I thought of sharing them with the readers 🙂

  6. A day off cooking, a day of more listening, disconnecting and enjoying a bubble bath together … ooh, so many delicious ideas here. Wonderful fun post Minaxi. You know how to put a smile on a girl’s face. xo 🙂

      1. Haha! It’s so funny that you mentioned that because I definitely thought of you when I did that 😊 I use soooo a lot with my daughters, but never have on my blog until now, lol! But sometimes it just expresses what I’m trying to say! I know you can relate 🙂🙂

  7. Those are great ideas, sweetie! Coupons can be a great way to add some spice to a relationship and you have a really good collection here. 🙂 You are so right, the purpose is to be giving, and to do something that makes the other person happy. That’s what love is, an action, a verb, a doing. It’s putting someone else’s needs ahead of our own. You have so much going for your “Gameplan.” I have no doubt you will succeed!

    1. Aww Ness. The last lines mean a LOT to me 🙂 Thank you so much for them 🙂 I love it when I hear/see two people falling in love or getting married. But sometimes for the most silly reasons the relationships go awry. I am trying my best to bridge the gaps and give suggestions from my own experiences. I do not want to preach something and then act differently. Love that you stopped by and liked this idea ❤

      1. Oh, here’s an idea for you! I make my husband’s lunch to take with him every day, and sometimes I put love notes in the bag. It makes his day a little brighter. 🙂 It’s a little thing, but it cheers him up and then he can’t wait to come home. I always stop whatever I’m doing and go greet him with a hug and kiss when he comes home, too. The kids do too. It means a lot to the one coming home, I think, to know the family is happy to see them come home. 🙂

      2. Wow 🙂 That is so romantic 🙂 I am not sure if I will make lunch for him 😛 (I should get up before him for that 😀 ) But I will surely keep this in mind 🙂 We already do the hugging and kissing part when one is back from work 🙂 It makes you feel so welcomed rather than a nod or a grunt acknowledging you are home. But what I loved the most here is, the kids learning from you 🙂 Thats a beautiful lesson. I will surely keep it in mind when we decide to expand our family 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing this with me Ness ❤

  8. Minaxi, this post is such a great one! I love the idea of coupons. I used to hand them out a lot before kids. Actually my husband had saved one from 5 years ago, and “cashed” it in last weekend. 🙂

    Lovely, lovely!

Please have a beautiful day gorgeous! ~ Dajena 🙂

      1. Thank you Minaxi. Even though he is all brainy, deep down, my hubby is a helpless romantic 😀

  9. Ha! No, I make his lunch the night before. I am too sleepy in the mornings to be able to make a lunch! lol Plus, we got a coffee maker that has a clock-timer on it, so that too gets made the night before, and the coffee is ready when he gets up.

Little things to make life more smooth, make romance a little easier. 🙂

      1. It really does, if you like coffee in the morning. 🙂 Or you could put tea bags in it and brew tea instead! Or maybe even some hot chocolate, yum. Okay, I’ll stop now!
