What If You Can Build The City of Your Dreams.

So I was telling my man the other day, how I wish if I could have the Wizarding World of Harry Potter next door, and before he could respond I added Eiffel tower as well and then the Tulip fields of Holland and I was rattling off without even giving the poor guy a chance to reply 😛 Finally when I ran out of breath he said “You might as well write a blog about it!”. And here I am sharing this wonderful idea with you, my awesome readers ❤

Of course, this was already done by Mal and Cobb in Inception, one of my all-time favorite movies. (If you have not seen it please do yourselves a favor and make it a point to watch ASAP!) What the hero and heroine in the movie do is, they go into a dream and build whatever they want and do whatever they love to do and live in that world for years. Till they get bored that is. Well, the movie is much much more deep than what I just ranted of course, but this is what I loved about it 😛 That you get to seriously LIVE YOUR DREAM ! Wouldn’t it be just incredible?!

There are of course tons of breathtaking places in this world. But what I feel is, you find yourself wishing if you were LIVING there only if you have visited those places before. Besides a lot of these places become adorable to you due to the memories gifted to you by these locations. But yes there could be a few exceptions maybe.

Now let me share with you the city of my dreams ❤ Since I have already been to most of the places, all the photos are taken by my man or me! No extra gimmicks added by photoshop 😀

  1. Maldives

So we went to Maldives for our honeymoon and was totally blown away! (No, not by the wind though it is a beach-side destination replete with lush tropical gardens! 😛 ) Our own private stunning white sand beaches, exotic beach villas with breathtaking views of the ocean, adorned by sprawling trees and palms, enjoying a refreshing dip in the shimmering aquamarine waters, dining by the gleaming turquoise waters, soaking up the sun at the ocean’s edge and when the sun sets, dining under the stars sinking your feet in the warm sand, eyes on the spectacular lagoon view and feeling the breeze in your hair. ❤ Yes, this picture does come to life in Maldives and surely this would be the place I would like to come home to 😉

2.Tulip Fields in Holland – Keukenhof Garden

I decided to place this next to my island. You know, every island needs a blooming garden as well ^^’ Words cannot do justice to this mesmerizing and enchanting garden with tulips galore rising to a crescendo of colors which never cease to amaze and delight, so I am going by the policy seeing is believing. The photos says it all!(and we made sure we took atleast a zillion of them 😛 ) As soon as I stepped inside this incredibly beautiful abundance of flowers, I knew what would be my answer if someone ever asked me where is heaven on earth ❤

  1. Eiffel Tower

Well this one needs no introduction and for the ultimate “girlie” person like me, how I could I live in a city without the eternal romantic spot in the world every girl dreams of !!! ^^’ The sensational and sparkling Eiffel Tower with all its romantic splendor would surely be a part of my city. The magnificence and magic of Eiffel is just unbelievable irrespective of day and night and I am sure I will never ever get tired of it ❤ I can do without river Seine as we already have a private beach in our city you know 😉

4.Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Umm, sorry muggles 😉 I just could not imagine my perfect city without any Magic in it 😀 A city with Hogwarts castle and Diagon Alley right around the corner would be just brilliant for Potterheads like me and my hubby. And of course to our guests as well. Who would not like something as awesome as this 😎 Floating Candles, Dreamy lit up castles, Lip smacking Butterbeer, A candy shop where you can order ANY flavor on earth- come on you cannot say no to THAT!

The next two in my list , we have not visited but the pictures and reviews seem to be worthwhile to dream on to have in our city! 🙂

5.The Northern Lights

I am so enamored by this concept of dazzling dancing lights and apart from imaginations running wild, I would really like to see this in real! But wouldn’t it be just splendid if we had a celestial ballet of light dancing across the sky with the shimmer and the swirl of a dramatic display of colors when the sun sets, in our city!

  1. Wisteria Flower Tunnel, Japan

I simply cannot get enough of the enchanting beauty offered by flowers I guess. Again this is a place we have not yet been to but the reviews and photos are so alluring. Imagine walking through a tunnel exploding with the exquisite pink and purple wisteria flowers. And just when you think it is so perfect, a gentle breeze lands a shower of the beautiful blossoms on you! Oooh, just the mere thought fills me with warm fuzzy sensations and this would definitely be a part of my imaginary city ❤

  2. What an absolutely stunning post. You have incorporated all the places that I love most in the world. The beauty and sunshine of the Maldives, the colors of the tulip fields, the romance of Paris and France and even some Harry Potter magic thrown in. That is one sensational city you’ve created. I’d be happy to live there too.

    1. Wow !!!! Have you ?? That is sooo incredibly awesome. There are many all over the world including me crushing to see them. But have heard the predictability of them appearing with all the splendor as we see in pics is quite erratic , is it ?
Oh you must go to the Wizarding World soon ❤ It is such an escape from the daily grind and if you are a HP fan , there is nothing more you could ask for !! (unless you get an invite to Hogwarts itself 😉 )

      1. Ha ha. I have never heard of this one 😀 We really hope to stay in one of those glass igloos to admire the “dancing lights” as everyone call them ❤ But they are in Finland so if there are chances of catching them while in US itself, we better do that first I guess 😀

  5. It’s a wonderful world out there, isn’t it, and your husband looks like a gorgeous person to share it with. 🙂 I’ve never been anywhere as exotic as the Maldives, and Keukenhof has been on my list for the longest time! Can’t be this year because I’ll be in the Algarve and then Poland at tulip time. 😦 Paris? Who cannot love Paris, and the magic of the Northern Lights leaves me speechless. I’ll let you keep Harry Potter 🙂 🙂

I hope you catch the tulips next year 🙂 Whatever we might have imagined, seeing it in real is just amazing, one of a kind experience ❤ Ah so you are not yet under the spell of Harry Potter!! Give the movies/books a shot sometime. It might change your mind 😉

  7. This is my favorite type of post. Drooling at travel highlights/wishlists is what makes my world go round! 😀 You had me chuckling at how HP made a random appearance in the list 🙂 Hope you get to Japan and Finland someday 🙂

    1. Heehee..I am a huuuge Potterhead and I absolutely need a bit of magic in my life wherever I live 😉 So Hogwarts had to be there you know 😀 I really hope to see the rest of the places as well. Between have you read Harry Potter ? 🙂

      1. I haven’t read all of them. Kind of fizzled out around book 4 (or 5?). It got a bit too dark for me then. Although in retrospect, I could probably handle it now seeing as how I am older and wiser 😉 Should probably go back and give them another chance 🙂

  8. You have such a positive style of writing! 🙂 Reading this made me happier. Those tulip fields are gorgeous. My fantasy place would be pretty similar to yours! I’d maybe add whale watching and cute penguins though 😉
